Jericho Rosales on upcoming films

Jericho Rosales talks films at Astro Bella's first anniversary.

5 Mar – Jericho Rosales is known all over the soap opera world for his roles in classics like "Pangako Sa Yo", "Destined Hearts" and "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas", but with experience and exposure in virtually almost other medium of entertainment like music and film, fans are eager to find out about Rosales' new film projects.

"There is a movie that I have co-produced with the director, called "Alagwa", meaning 'breakaway'. It is about a father's search for his son whom he'd lost," said Rosales.

He added, "The film is about human trafficking. It is full of drama and suspense, and it has been nominated for ten awards in Manila alone including Best Cinematography, Best Actor and Best Director."

"We'll be going to Sarawak for the film festival there and I am very excited."

The film festival in Sarawak, called Asean International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA), will take place from 28-30 March 2013.

Besides his current projects, Jericho also talks about moving on up and hopes to get bigger exposure in places like Hollywood.

"I would love to work with a project in Hollywood if I was given a chance. If I had to pick a director to work with it would be Quentin Tarantino, because I know he has always been a fan of Filipino films. If anything, even a job in his movie as an extra would be great!"

With Tarantino doing another movie after Nazi's in Europe and the issue of slavery in America, an Asian theme like the Pacific War would be a great possibility, and a greater chance for Jericho Rosales to nab a role. We'll just have to wait and see.
