The Flying Wolverine

Hugh Jackman, fit as a fiddle.

8 Apr – Aussie star Hugh Jackman came by helicopter and hung out by the side to wave to a screaming crowd, before circling twice, losing his cap to the chopper blade downdraft and landing atop a rocky cliff on Cockatoo Island, Australia, where he is busy today promoting the upcoming movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine".

His theatrical entrance was further complemented with a flying fox gambit onto a mini stage, in the course of which he undid his harness and rolled on the grass a little before gaining composure to touch up his face and hair, en route to greeting wailing-mad fans.

Reminiscent of his memorable Oscar presentation gig a few months back, the leading man from "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was jovial, spontaneous and even witty as he enthusiastically jumped offstage in between Q&A sessions to touch, hug and take photos with the crowd over the waist-high barricade.

Hugh Jackman in high spirits, describing his diet during the shoot

One of the hottest topics was the recent movie leak on the Internet, which the Australian actor described as "upsetting" and "disappointing" for everyone who is involved with the production. He reiterated that the FBI are looking into it and that the matter is a serious crime, compounded by the fact that the movie is one of the most anticipated ones this year.

People on the site noted that Jackman is evidently fit upon witnessing his extravagant appearance, and found no reason to doubt him when he said that body double was available most of the time throughout the six-month shoot but he did most of the stunts on his own. He elaborated that they are not as dangerous as they look from the movie trailer, as they are mostly done on green screen.

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is a prequel to the three previous X-Men movies in which Jackman plays Wolverine, the feral Marvel Comics role that propelled him to international stardom and global recognition.
