Javier Bardem "Bond" villain

12 Oct - After months of speculation, "Biutiful" actor Javier Bardem is set to play villain in the yet to be titled 23rd "James Bond" film alongside Daniel Craig, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Judi Dench.

According to ComingSoon.net, Bardem confirmed the news during an interview with ABC's Nightline saying, "I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, so to play that [villain] is going to be fun."

"They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details," said Bardem who then continues to talk mostly about raising awareness of Western Sahara's refugee camps during the interview with ABC anchor, Christiane Amanpour.

The yet to be titled film is rumoured to be called "Skyfall", as MGM and Sony pictures, who are financing the film, have already registered the web names JamesBond-Skyfall.com and Skyfallthefilm.com. However, a formal confirmation on the title is still pending.

Directed by Sam Mendes, the latest Bond movie is set to start filming soon for a November 2012 release.
