2nd "Dark Knight" trilogy marathon

The Dark Knight Rises" Trilogy IMAX Marathon is happening exclusively at Lido & JCube.

3 Sep – This Sunday, 9 September, Warner Bros. Pictures Singapore and Shaw Theatres will be having a second screening of "The Dark Knight" trilogy marathon for those who have missed the first marathon.

Previously, on 1 September, to mark the epic conclusion of the "Dark Knight" trilogy, Warner Bros. Pictures Singapore and Shaw Theatres have screened all three films in IMAX for the very first time in Singapore, exclusively at Shaw Theatres LIDO IMAX and Shaw Theatres JCube IMAX. This is also the first time that all three films will be shown together in IMAX across Southeast Asia.

Christopher Nolan's trilogy kicks off with "Batman Begins", followed by "The Dark Knight", then climaxing and ending with "The Dark Knight Rises". Award-winning actor Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne, the man who dons a cape and cowl to become Batman.

2005's "Batman Begins" details Wayne's journey into becoming Gotham's vigilante after the death of his parents, which sees him undergoing training by Henri Ducard, a member of Ra's Al Ghul, before returning to Gotham to combat forces of darkness in the crime-ridden city. In 2008's "The Dark Knight", Batman joins forces with Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent to rid the city of the violent criminal mastermind, The Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger. Fast forward to "The Dark Knight Rises" eight years later, Batman has gone into hiding in the aftermath of his choice to take the fall for Two Face's crimes. However, he is forced to resurface to protect the city that has branded him an enemy when brutal terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms the Gotham's finest.

Tom Hardy plays the formidable Bane, who may be the one to end Batman for good.

Beside Christian Bale, "The Dark Knight Rises" also stars Oscar winner Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, who will reprise their roles as Alfred Pennyworth, Commissioner James Gordon and Lucius Fox respectively. New additions to the cast are Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Oscar winner Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Tickets for "The Dark Knight" Trilogy Retrospective are priced at SG$50, and are available via www.shaw.sg/IMAX.
