Joseph Morgan to lead the "Demaphoria" cast.

16 Jun – "Dermaphoria", a future motion picture adaptation of the cult Craig Clevenger novel, has gained "Immortals" and "The Vampire Diaries" star Joseph Morgan, "Django Unchained" and "Justified" star Walton Goggins, and "Hellboy" actor Ron Perlman as the cast. Newcomer actress Nicole Badaan will also star.

Described as Christopher Nolan's "Memento" meets television series "Breaking Bad", the story centres on a chemist, played by Morgan, who wakes up in jail after a drug lab explosion and is suffering from amnesia. Trapped between cops who want to arrest him and heavies who will stop at nothing to get the formula buried deep inside his head, the man needs to piece together memories fragmented by a powerful new drug and find his missing girlfriend.

Walton Goggins in "Django Unchained" will also star in "Dermaphoria".

Ross Clarke wrote the script and will be directing. He will also be producing with his partner Teryn Fogel along with Motion Picture Capital's Leon Clarance. Aperture Entertainment's Adam Goldworm will take on executive producing duties.

Joseph Morgan is coming off several seasons of "The Vampire Diaries" and will now star in its spinoff, "The Originals". Walton Goggins is still currently starring in FX's "Justified" and Ron Perlman, star of "Sons of Anarchy" will soon appear in "Pacific Rim".

"Dermaphoria" will start shooting in June 23.
