17 Sep – Red Granite and Universal are filling up the cast for their "Dumb And Dumber" sequel with the addition of Laurie Holden from the popular TV series, "The Walking Dead".

"Dumb And Dumber To", which will be directed by Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly, is set 20 years after the original film with dim-witted best friend Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) taking a road trip to find Harry's illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant.

The new members to the cast are set to play the Pichlow family with "The Walking Dead" star set to take a key role as Adele Pichlow, the wife of a wealthy doctor who has hatched a wiked plan that involves the lives of her husband (played by Steve Tom) and her step-daughter Penny (played by Rachel Melvin).

Universal and Red Granite picked up the rights to the project in June after Warner Bros. and New Line declined to move forward on the sequel. Red Granite will produce, finance and distribute "Dumb And Dumber To" while the domestic distribution rights goes to Universal.

The original 1994 film cost an estimated US$ 17 million to make and grossed more than US$ 247 million at the time.
