Set a record while dressed as "One Piece" characters!

Which "One Piece" character do you want to cosplay as?

5 Aug – Here's a once in a lifetime chance for "One Piece" fans to show just how much they love the Japanese manga series.

Golden Village (GV) will be attempting to set the record for the largest gathering of cosplayers in Singapore's history with a special "One Piece" event. The release of "One Piece Film Gold" is what brought about this golden chance for fans.

Called "One Piece Film Gold" Singapore Book of Records, GV is calling fans to come dressed as their favourite "One Piece" characters.

It is set to take place on Friday, 19 August, at 8.45pm at GV Plaza.

The event includes a screening of "One Piece Film Gold".

Tickets can be bought at SGD58 each for GV Movie Club Members and SGD62 each for the public. The price is inclusive of the movie's limited edition merchandise such as T-shirt, porcelain mug and mobile phone chip strap.

Remember to come dressed as your best Luffy, Nami, Roronoa Zoro – or any character from "One Piece" – because only fans who are cosplaying will be allowed entry into the event.

"One Piece Film Gold", the 13th movie from the "One Piece" franchise, was a big success in its homeland, Japan, selling 1.7 million tickets in the country in just nine days. Not only did it beat the ticket sales of Hollywood movies, it has also been screened in more than 740 cinemas, the biggest for any Japanese movie to date.
