3 Aug – The 8th Love and Pride Film Festival at Golden Village is kicking off with the screening of highly-acclaimed documentary, "Oriented". The opening night is set to be held on 19 August, at GV Grand, Great World City from 6.30pm onwards. The screening of the Israeli documentary, which follows the lives of three gay Palestinians living in Tel Aviv, will start at 8pm, followed by a Skype conversation with director Jake Witzenfeld at 9.40pm. This year's festival boasts a line-up consisting of acclaimed and award-winning global movies, hailing from various parts of the world, including Lithuania, Taiwan, Canada, Venezuela and more. Apart from "Oriented", other movies that will be screened at the festival are Lithuanian drama "The Summer of Sangaile", Canadian drama "Closet Monster", Taiwanese drama "Thanatos, Drunk", and Venezuelan drama "From Afar", all released last year, as well as 2016 American romantic drama "First Girl I Loved". The American movie, about a teenage girl whose best friend tried to sabotage her plans when she falls for the most popular girl in their high school, will also be the festival's closing film. 2016 Love & Pride Film Festival will take place at Golden Village Suntec City and Golden Village Grand, Great World City from 19 to 31 August.
