21 Jul – The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is delighted to announce a special fundraising screening for the Singapore premiere of Wes Anderson's highly anticipated film, "Asteroid City". This exclusive one-night-only event will take place on 5 August 2023, Saturday, at Golden Village Vivocity, preceding its public release in cinemas on 10 August 2023. Tickets for the fundraiser event will be available for a donation of $50 per seat. By making a donation, attendees not only secure their spot for the special screening but also immerse themselves in a night of festivities! Planned as a night of film fun - carnival snacks and photobooth mementoes will be provided, creating an immersive experience in line with the film's theme. What's more, a Wes Anderson dress-up contest and trivia quiz will offer attendees the chance to win limited "Asteroid City" merchandise worth S$400.
SGIFF is a non-profit organisation that relies on the support of individual donors to nurture and champion independent cinema and filmmaking talent from Singapore and the region.
