9 Apr - Siddharth Anand had everybody speculating after he decided to post a simple "False" on his X account with no context whatsoever.

The post, which was shared on 7 April just as the media reported on rumours of Deepika Padukone's involvement in Shah Rukh Khan's "King" made the rounds online, had everybody guessing that he is responding to that particular piece of gossip.


It is noted that Siddharth is helming the project, that will see SRK collaborating with daughter Suhana Khan.

Earlier, it was reported that Deepika will be appearing as a guest star in the film, where she will play the role of Suhana's mother and SRK's former lover.

While some were excited to hear the news, most of Deepika's fans were unhappy that the actress kept being cast as a mother, from playing SRK' mother in Atlee's "Jawan" (2023) and Ranbir Kapoor's mum in "Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva" (2022). She also played the mother of Kalki, the titular character from "Kalki 2898 AD" (2024).

"King" is reportedly scheduled for May or June shoot.
