2 Sep – Shaw Theatres IMAX is set to screen five inspirational documentary films in 3D for the school holidays this September. Narrated by award-winning actors and actresses, each educational documentary will feature beautiful scenery and will revolve around the preservation of nature's most valuable treasures. The documentaries include "Journey To The South Pacific", "To The Arctic", "Born to be Wild", "Under The Sea" and "Hubble". "Journey to the South Pacific" narrated by Cate Blanchett ("The Lord Of The Rings") contains a strong message of marine conservation. Similarly, "Under the Sea" also delivers the same message.
Narrated by Meryl Streep ("The Devil Wears Prada"), "To The Arctic" tells the journey of a female polar bear and her two cubs while "Born To Be Wild" narrated by Morgan Freeman ("The Dark Knight Rises") tells the story of orphaned orang-utans and elephants. Lastly, "Hubble" a film about the Hubble Space Telescope repair mission is narrated by award-winning nominee, Leonardo DiCaprio ("The Great Gatsby"). The screening of the documentaries will be held from 4 September to 24 September 2014 at Shaw Theatres IMAX (Shaw Lido and Shaw Jcube). The ticket price for adults is SGD 10 while for students, children or senior citizens, tickets are priced at SGD 8. Moviegoers can also get their tickets at SGD 7, if four or more tickets are purchased at the same time.
