"Kampai!" at GV's first Food Film Festival

GV Food Film Festival will open with "Kampai: For The Love Of Sake".

12 Jul – Raise your cup of warm sake to toast the first ever food film festival to be held by Golden Village (GV).

It won't be an imaginary sake either, GV will be giving participating cinema patrons a bottle of Utakata Sparkling Sake Yuzu each during the opening night of its inaugural GV Food Film Festival.

"Kampai: For The Love Of Sake" – the documentary that takes a fascinating look at the history and specialty of the 'Japanese rice wine' – will, of course, be the opening movie.

The lineup of the festival includes two more documentaries, "Tsukiji Wonderland" and "Foodies", and three exclusive movies on Michelin star restaurants chefs, "Ants on a Shrimp", "Sergio Herman F***ing Perfect" and "Jiro Dreams of Sushi".

Tickets for the opening night on 21 July are priced at SGD22 each for GV Movie Club Members and SGD26 for the public.

Apart from the aforementioned complimentary sake, opening night attendees will also be entitled to tasting of Horin Junmai Daiginjo, Kirei Umeshu with Collagen, Kirei MOMOSHU with hyaluronic acid and Utaka Sparkling Sake Green Apple.

Due to the serving of alcohol content, only audiences above 18 years old are allowed to attend the opening night.

Tickets for the screenings from 22 July onwards will be priced at SGD13 each for GV Movie Club members and SGD15 for the public.

GV Food Film Festival is set to take place at GV Suntec City from 21 to 27 July 2016.
