3 Oct - Fresh from his win at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), it was revealed that Bobby Deol will be joining Vijay in his last film, the temporarily titled "Thalapathy 69".


KVN Productions has recently confirmed speculations about the collaboration in its recent tweet, writing, "100% official now, Super happy & excited to announce that [Bobby Deol] joins #Thalapathy69 cast."

Prior to the announcement, sources claimed that Bobby will be playing the main villain in the movie, which will be his second time playing a villain in a South Indian movie after his debut, "Kanguva".

Bobby recently won IIFA's Best Performance in a Negative Role for his role in "Animal", bested other contenders that include John Abraham ("Pathaan") and Vijay Sethupathi ("Jawan").
