27 Feb – Farhan Akhtar recently assured all is well with his upcoming film, "Don 3", saying that it will begin production soon. The filmmaker, who was asked about the film's development, said that it will begin filming sometime this year, while his other film "120 Bahadur" will be released at the end of the year. Farhan, who is directing the third instalment, previously announced Ranveer Singh as the new titular character replacing Shah Rukh Khan. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani has been cast to play the female lead.
The director first announced the project back in 2023. When asked why SRK is not coming back as the lead, Farhan admitted that they were having creative differences. "These are things that we discussed over the years, I wanted to take a certain direction with the story, but somehow, we (Shah Rukh Khan and I) just couldn't find common ground. We just parted mutually knowing that it's probably for the best. So that's where it is," he said.
