24 Feb – "Spider-Man 4" will no longer be released on 17 July 2026 as previously reported. It has now been delayed to 31 July 2026. The Tom Holland-starrer will be helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton ("Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings") from the script by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, and will see the return as Tom Holland as the web-slinging superhero.
The change in slot meant that the movie will not have to compete with the highly-anticipated Christopher Nolan film, "The Odyssey", nor will it have a clash in promotions seeing that the Nolan film also stars Holland. The 31 July 2026 slot also has Paramount's "Paw Patrol 3". "Spider-Man 4" will see Holland returning to the Marvel franchise five years after the release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which surpassed USD 1.9 billion at the global box office.
