6 Feb - The cast of "The Goonies" got everybody feeling nostalgic as they decided to show support at an event celebrating Ke Huy Quan, who was honoured with a hand-and-footprint ceremony at the famed TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles.

Ke's co-stars; Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Kerri Green, and Corey Feldman made their appearance at the ceremony held on 3 February, alongside the 1985 film screenwriter, Chris Columbus.

Brolin even read a touching letter from Steven Spielberg at the event, where the filmmaker expressed, "I'm proud of you for your meteoric rise as a child, and then your second meteoric rise as a grown-up, and believe me, very few of us get two bites of that apple."

Saying that Ke is one of the last existences of the American dream, Brolin added that the actor has the Midas touch, as he has the heart of gold that he always had for the past 40 years.

"I could not be happier for you. I know we all are, all us Goonies, here for an honour that is not only totally deserved but celebrates all that is right in this industry. Love you, pal," he concluded.

Following the event, the cast reunited again to support Ke at the premiere of his new movie, "Love Hurts", where they were joined by other "Goonies" cast member Sean Astin, who also starred in the movie.

Speaking about his reunion film with Astin, who played Mikey to his Data back in 1985, Ke said, "The day Sean arrived on set, I dropped everything and ran to give him a big hug. We're brothers for life because of that movie."

"When we finally shot our first scene together, I was transported back to 1985. All the cameras and everyone around us disappeared - it was just me and him. I was that kid again, remembering that exchange: 'Hey Data, where are you going?' 'I'm setting booty traps.' 'You mean booby traps.' To share the screen with him again after all these years is an amazing gift."
