The Good, the Bad and the Lead-outs:

• The cycling story is a little unlike others of its kind as instead of focusing on sprinters (racers who can finish a race by accelerating quickly to a high speed), it shifts the focus onto the lead-outs (basically, those who sacrifice their wins in order to let the sprinter take over).

• That creates a metaphor that would ring true to anybody, about how one sometimes would have to step back and let someone else take the lead for the greater good.

• Unfortunately, director Dante Lam is struggling to make a story here (it is a little hard to beat the bar set high by his previous works such as "Unbeatable" and "the Demon Within"), as the races are the only exciting parts of the movie while other parts, the love triangle for example, fall flat.

• Lam himself admitted he was not a master of romantic storylines so it was no surprise that the love triangle in the story doesn't provide much of a spark. Known more for action, Lam also struggles to provide a coherent story to really string together his four main leads.

Trivia:

• Because of the great chemistry among the cast and the director himself, Dante Lam is thinking of using the same cast for his next movie, which he plans to be a diving movie.
