Watch this if you liked: The “Ju-On” franchise

The Good, the Bad and the Final Haunting:

• Unfortunately for a final movie, which should be delivering the biggest scare, it offers nothing but the usual sudden scares anyone has come to expect from a "Ju-On" movie (or any typical horror movie, really). The repetitive technique used easily bores the audience.

• At least the main plot does not disappoint much as it does take time to explain the events, especially relating to "Ju-On 3: Beginning of the End". The backstory gives a much clearer story of the whole franchise.

• What is disappointing, however, are the subplots interwoven throughout as they seem to exist solely as an excuse to generate more scares that don't relate or contribute to the main story, giving the movie a B-grade feel with the degeneration of plotline.

• A good way to reel the audience in is to make them relate with the characters. One such character is Reo with her realistic spiral into her eventual breakdown. Most of us in the real world would probably show the same reaction to any haunting that slowly degrades our minds.

Trivia:

• This is touted as the last movie in the series, but there could very well be another sequel depending on how will this one performed at the box office.
