8 Oct – Malaysian DVD rights holder and film distributor Innoform Media is looking to condom makers as strategic promo partners to release raunchy American comedy "Sex Drive" on DVD. According to a marketing executive from the company, perhaps the disc package may involve a 'free-condom-inside' deal with every purchase or other similar concessions that may attract browsers to the product while giving due exposure to the sponsor. The sex-themed comedy caper opened earlier this year in late February with some controversy, as local authorities banned several versions of the movie poster and the film distributor for the theatrical release, Tayangan Unggul, had to edit the poster to remove a depiction of male genitalia. "Sex Drive" is reminiscent of recent teen flicks such as "American Pie" and "Road Trip"; and stars Josh Zuckerman, Clark Duke and Amanda Crew, with a memorable cameo by Seth Green.
