19 Feb – Multi-award nominee lesbian drama comedy "The Kids Are All Right" has survive the cuts and finally receives its classification after a delayed release on account of a restricted screening in Singapore, as announced by co-distributors Festive Films and Cathay Keris Films. The Lisa Cholodenko's penned and directed movie has been rated as R21 with a one-print release which will only be available at Cathay Cineplex, Orchard Cineleisure as an additional condition imposed by the Board of Film Censors. The movie stars Julianne Moore and Annette Bening as a lesbian couple whose teenage kids decide to track down their sperm donor dad, played by Mike Ruffalo. Released in the States earlier in July, the lesbian-marriage comedy is said to chronicle the typical strains of family life in a context rarely portrayed in mainstream cinema and it also contains steamy scenes between the lead cast, Julianne Moore with Mark Ruffalo and Annette Bening. The critically acclaimed film was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress (Annette Bening), Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo) and Best Original Screenplay. The Kids Are All Right is scheduled for release on 24 February 2011 in Singapore only at Cathay Cineplex, Orchard Cineleisure.
