30 Jan – Lisa Cholodenko's lesbian marriage drama flick, "The Kids Are All Right" was recently announced for multiple nominations at the upcoming 83rd Academy Awards and have finally secure a release date in Singapore on 24 February 2011, according to a joint press release by Singaporean distributors Festive Films and Cathay Keris Films. The critically acclaimed film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress (Annette Bening), Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo) and also Best Original Screenplay. "The Kids Are All Right" tells the story of two teenaged children, Joni and Laser who has the notion to seek out their biological father and introduce him into the family life that their two mothers (Annette Bening and Julianne Moore) have built for them and once the donor (Mark Ruffalo) is found, the household will never be the same again.
The comedy drama will also feature two rising Hollywood stars, Mia Wasikowska ("Alice In Wonderland") as well as Josh Hutcherson ("Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant"). "Kids Are Alright" will be showing at the cinemas in Singapore on 24 February 2011 while a Malaysian release is yet to be confirmed.
