Spielberg fired Fox

"Transformers" producer Steven Spielberg was the reason Michael Bay fired Megan Fox from returning in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon".

22 June – According Shia LaBeouf and Michael Bay, Megan Fox was fired by producer Steven Spielberg from her role in the third film because of what she said to the press about director Michael Bay, reports The Scoop website.

The director of the blockbuster franchise Michael Bay claims in a recent interview with GQ magazine, that despite being the one who was insulted by Fox, it was the films producer Steven Spielberg that was the one who was offended. "You know the Hitler thing. Steven said, 'Fire her now,'" Bay was quoted as saying.

The report added that LaBeouf claimed in the same interview with GQ magazine that it was Fox's choice of words in a 2009 interview, in which she compared Bay to Adolf Hitler that got her fired.

"Criticism is one thing. Then there's public name-calling, which turns into high school bashing. Which you can't do. She start talking sh*t- talking our captain," LaBeouf said.

Fox is replaced by Victoria Secret model, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, for the next instalment, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."

The concluding chapter of the franchise "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" will be released in cinemas this June 29 in Malaysia and Singapore.
