15 Mar – "Wedding Crashers" director David Dobkin is not only getting support from Robert Downey Jr. for his upcoming feature film "The Judge" but the American comedy expert has received confirmation that another heavyweight actor, Robert Duvall, will join the "Iron Man" star in the dramedy, according to Coming Soon.net. Duvall, 82, will play Downey's father in the law-themed comedy drama, which follows a big-city lawyer who returns to his childhood home for his mother's funeral only to find that his estranged father, the town's judge, is suspected of murder. The Academy Award winner was not the first person being approached by Warner Bros to play the part. Jack Nicholson and Tommy Lee Jones were among the candidates to take up the role but in the end the studio went for Duvall instead.
Meanwhile, Downey will also reprise his famous role as Tony Stark in this year's Marvel blockbuster, "Iron Man 3", out on 25 April 2013. Duvall is actively involved in films these days, which include making appearances in "Jack Reacher" alongside Tom Cruise and will next be seen in Emilio Aragon's "A Night In Old Mexico".
