26 Apr – Disney Channel has found its two leads for the live-action adaptation of the popular animated series, "Kim Possible". Newcomer Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone will take on the role of Kim Possible and her trusty sidekick, Ron Stoppable, respectively. Judy Taylor, Disney Channel's senior vice president of casting and talent relations, said in a press statement, "Sadie delivers Kim's confidence, smarts, and agility; most importantly, she's an everyday girl with an extraordinary spirit."
Stanley is particularly new in the entertainment industry with only a guest-starring role in "Game Shakers" prior to nabbing the spot as the titular character who fights crimes when she is not dealing with her daily high school problems. Giambrone on the other hand, is a series regular in "The Goldbergs" and voices Jeff Randell in the animated series, "Clarence". The movie will be directed by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky and will head into production this summer. "Kim Possible" first launched in 2002 and centered on an accomplished high school student who fights crime on a regular basis, assisted by her best friend and his pet naked mole-rat, Rufus.
