21 May – Salma Hayek recently revealed that she had a near fatal experience with COVID-19 in the early days of the pandemic. The actress, who has never opened up about battling the coronavirus before, revealed in an interview with Variety about her condition, saying that it was so bad that her doctor begged her to go to the hospital. "I said, 'No, thank you. I'd rather die at home,'" said Hayek. Unlike Tom Hanks who only experienced body aches and fatigue, Hayek revealed that she had to spend seven weeks isolated in a room of the house. At one point, said the actress, she was even put on oxygen.
The actress is set to return to the big screen in "Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" - a sequel to 2017's "The Hitman's Bodyguard" starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson.
