8 May – It's another blow to Marvel's "Blade", as the movie is now facing another delay due to the writers' strike. The movie, which is currently in the works, is one of the many projects affected by the strike, with Marvel Studios announcing that it will be shutting down preproduction. It is noted that the movie previously hired Nic Pizzolatto of "True Detective" fame to pen the script, but that it didn't finish in time before the strike happened.
