26 Feb - It looks like fans of Robert Pattinson's caped crusader will have to wait a little bit more, as part two of "The Batman" has yet to complete its writing stage. The development was shared by DC Studios' co-chairman, Peter Safran in a recent interview, saying that director Matt Reeves, who also pens the script, has yet to turn in a full script. "But what we have read so far is incredibly encouraging," he said.
It is noted that the release date for part two of the 2022 movie has already been pushed a year from its original release date of 1 October 2026.
On the other hand, Safran said that their own Batman film, "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" is in active development. However, it is unlikely that Pattinson will be reprising his role in this version of Batman as it exists in its own timeline. "I wouldn't rule anything out," said Safran's co-chairman, James Gunn. "He could show up in something else. But the actor doesn't exist [yet]."
