16 Dec – Gold Class just got better at VivoCity as the GV cinema has launched new seats that take luxury cinema to another level. "The public has come to expect more from their cinema experience," said M Hafidz, the Assistant Manager for Gold Class Operations, in a press statement. "The introduction of Nappa leather-clad seats at Gold Class is our brand's way of surpassing patrons' expectations of seat comfort. We will continue to introduce product offerings to improve the cinematic experience at Gold Class." A total of 110 Barcelona recliners clad with Nappa leather have been installed at Gold Class VivoCity. The leather is a soft and pliable material often used by European automakers for their car seats. As it does not retain moisture, it makes for the perfect upholstery for cinema seats. Cinemagoers can expect to feel comfortable in the fully-contoured seats with adjustable footrest and backrest. The seats also come with built-in USD chargers. As no luxury cinema experience is complete without a hearty meal, the cinema has added several news items into its menu, including Thai grilled chicken thigh, truffle fries, and abalone udon as well as desserts such as Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, Key Lime Pie and Oreo Milkshake.
