11 Nov – Remember the time when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had long flowing hair? That was almost two decades ago, when he made his big screen debut as Mathayus a.k.a. Scorpion King. That was his first film role, which he appeared as in 2001's "The Mummy Returns". He then reprises it in the 2002 spin-off/prequel "The Scorpion King", and as the title illustrates, this time he's the movie's eponymous lead, marking his first starring role. Fast forward to now, Deadline is reporting that the actor is working on a "The Scorpion King" reboot. His and Dany Garcia's Seven Bucks Productions is teaming up with Universal Pictures for the new movie, which will be produced by the actor himself, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. Jonathan Herman is penning the script, though no director is attached to the project at the moment.
