28 May – After much searching, Steven Spielberg has finally found the actor to play a younger version of himself in an upcoming movie.

It was reported that "The Predator" actor Gabriel LaBelle is currently in talks to star in the upcoming untitled movie, which is loosely based on Spielberg's childhood in Arizona.

Prior to LaBelle's casting, the studio has already brought in Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen, who will play Spielberg's mother and favourite uncle, respectively.

Spielberg, who has not penned any scripts since 2001's "A.I." will do so this time with frequent collaborator, Tony Kushner. The untitled movie will begin filming in the summer with its release date to be sometime in 2022.

LaBelle's previous work include "Dead Shack", "Motive" and "iZombie". His upcoming project is playing the younger version of Jon Bernthal in Showtime's upcoming series adaptation of "American Gigolo".

On the other hand, it was reported that Spielberg is also looking for another younger actor to play him as a young boy.
