28 Feb – Jerry Bruckheimer, known for many blockbuster movies such as "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "National Treasure", is looking to produce a movie based on the popular toy franchise, Beyblade.
First released in 1999 by Japanese firm Taraka, Beyblade is a spinning top toy series that is said to be the biggest competitor of Pokemon, and has inspired manga, anime and comics series based around a Beyblade fighting tournament. Bruckheimer's most recent project is producing "Top Gun: Maverick" and the superhero movie, "Secret Headquarters", both to be released in May and August, respectively.
