24 Dec - It was reported that Rajinikanth will be going from "Coolie" straight to the production set for the sequel of his hit movie, "Jailer".

According to industry expert Manobala Vijayabalan, shooting for "Jailer 2" will begin in March next year, and will reunite the superstar with director Nelson Dilipkumar.


The first "Jailer" was released in 2023, and stars Rajinikanth as a retired police officer who goes on a revenge rampage after the kidnapping of his son, who is also a police officer.

The film was considered a box office hit when it was in theatres in August last year.

Rajinikanth was most recently seen in "Vettaiyan" by TJ Gnanavel. The film co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil and Manju Warrier among others.
