Watch this if you liked: “The Ring”

The Good, the Bad and the Possessed Tape:

• The movie is not exactly terrible, but most of its plot is merely recycled materials from what worked the first time, and the 'fresh' idea it has doesn't end up contributing much either.

• It also fails to instil the same slow-burning, primal scares that made the first film such a memorable success. Now, most of it resorts to jump scare moments.

• However the movie has a nice blend into the modern era, dropping the outdated VHS tapes for modern day MP4 files which is way more dangerous and easily spread around than before.

Trivia:

• Bonnie Morgan who plays Samara in this film, was also featured in "The Ring Two" (2005) as Samara in the well crawling sequence, though she was uncredited.
