The Good, the Bad and the First Lady:

• The assassination of JFK is one of those big conspiracy-laden events in American history which has been told through various movies, but "Jackie" lets us look through the event via the eyes of the iconic First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and how she deals with the aftermath of the situation.

• The film shows the many sides of the First Lady, most of which are not very flattering, and Natalie Portman is brilliant and perfect as the fragile yet ferocious Jackie, making this as one of her best performances yet.

• The film was haunting, deeply emotional, and riveting, and it was completely honest and real. From the interview with a newspaper reporter to a conversation with the family priest, the recording of a televised tour of the White House, and the period between the actual assassination and the funeral - everything portrayed in this film just seems so realistic.

Trivia:

• The movie is one of John Hurt's final film performances before his passing.
