Once Upon A Time

The story revolves around Bai Qian, a goddess of the Heavenly Realms. In her first life, her teacher`s soul was destroyed while sealing away the Demon Lord. Now, as his disciple, it is her duty to reseal the Demon Lord. Bai Qian was then sent to the mortal realm as part of a trial, where she meets and falls in love with Ye Hua and the two eventually marry. However, like all mortals, Ye Hua`s life ends and Bai Qian returns to the Heavens asking for her memories of Ye Hua to be erased for it is too painful for her to remember her lost love. However, the lovers eventually meet again as deities and Ye Hua, now a black dragon prince 90,000 years younger than Bai Qian, seizes the second chance he has been given to love her once more, even if she may never remember him.

The Good, the Bad and the Past Life :

• Everything in the movie is so beautiful, from the elegant costumes to the scenic setting, gorgeous special effects, colourful visuals, and also the attractive cast.

• The ancient Chinese drama has a really heart-warming love story and it's sort of like the Asian version of "Romeo and Juliet" but with fantasy and mythical elements.

• In terms of acting, Liu Yifei and Yangyang form great chemistry through their characters, but their acting may be a bit more suitable for television dramas.

• Though the movie receives backlash for plagiarism accusations initially, it manages to prove its worth by re-writing everyting and remove the plagiarism content, turning it into a new story with different concept.
