The Good, the Bad and the Other Worlds:

• Adapting Stephen King's books for the big screen has never been easy, the man always creates complex characters with complex stories which in turn takes a long time to see them developed, and that's something hard to do in a movie.

• The movie adaptation of the novel is quite honestly - generic. The scenes and characters are so half-baked, and it makes young adult fantasy novels look a lot better.

• But it couldn't be helped that movie failed to meet book fans' expectation as it is clearly impossible to condense an over 1,000 page plus story in a fewer than two hours of screen time - and that is why many book adaptations movies are doomed to fail.

• There are so many wrongs in this movie, and even having A-listers Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey don't make it right.

Trivia:

• "The Dark Tower" is a series of eight books which span an entire connected universe which links several other books and stories by Stephen King.
