Stephen Fung for "Kickboxer" reboot

15 May – A reboot of 1989's "Kickboxer", which starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, is in the works and is looking for a financier in the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

According to a press release from The Exchange; the production company behind the reboot, the new "Kickboxer" would be directed by "Tai Chi Zero" and "Tai Chi Hero" director Stephen Fung, with UFC champion George St. Pierre ("Captain America: The Winter Soldier") and WWE wrestle Dave Bautista ("Guardians of the Galaxy") in the cast.

Instead of bringing back Jean-Claude Van Damme for the lead role, the rebooted version will be introducing Alan Moussi; a stuntman and martial artist who has performed in "X-Men: Days of Future Past", "Immortals", "Pacific Rim", and "White House Down".
