Explore the life-size "Star Wars" X-Wing Fighter


The X-Wing Fighter has landed at Changi Airport.

18 Nov – Here's your chance to become an X-Wing Pilot, sort of. Visit the "Star Wars" X-Wing Fighter exhibition at Changi Airport in Singapore and become one of the lucky fans to climb inside and explore the X-Wing itself.

The airport recently launched its "Star Wars" X-Wing Fighter and TIE Fighter exhibitions at its Terminal 3 Departure Hall – Immigration and Terminal 2 Departure Hall – North Planter, respectively.

Limited tickets are given out daily on a first come, first served basis to board the life-size X-Wing Fighter. Fans will get to choose to enter dressed up as Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca or an X-Wing pilot.

At the same venue, an Interactive Wall will allow fans to catch the behind-the-scenes trailer of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as well as listen to C-3PO speaks popular phrases from "Star Wars".

Apart from that, there will also be Stormtroopers and X-Wing Pilots character appearances at Terminal 3 at 4pm for several Saturdays (21/28 Nov, 5/12/26 Dec, 2 Jan), where fans will get to meet and greet the iconic characters.

As for the TIE Fighter, fans will not be able to board it but they can still take a picture with the iconic battleship along with the Stormtroopers guarding it.

The exhibitions will run until 5 January 2016.

It is held in conjunction with the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". The movie is set 30 years after "Return of the Jedi", where Darth Vader had been defeated.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" arises in cinemas this 17 December.
