Irrfan Khan passed away today after a long battle with health issues.

Irrfan Khan passed away today after a long battle with health issues.

29 Apr – Bollywood was shocked by the news of Irrfan Khan's passing, who breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai.

According to Pinkvilla, Irrfan passed away at age 53 due to a colon infection.

News of the actor's death was also shared by close friend, director Shoojit Sircar, on the latter's Twitter.

"My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil."

Apart from Bollywood, the late actor was also well known in Hollywood as he'd starred in major films such as "Slumdog Millionaire", "Jurassic World", "Life of Pi" and many more.
