Mahima Nambiar wins another international Best Supporting Actress accolade

21 Sep – Mahima Nambiar has recently won another Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Magamuni". She played Deepa, a feisty journalism student from an upper-caste household.

As reported on Times of India, the Tamil actress recently won Special Jury Award: Outstanding Performance - Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Toronto Tamil International Film Festival 2021.



Mahima shared the good news on Instagram, writing, "Thank you [Director Santhakumar] for believing in me and giving confidence to dub for myself in ["Magamuni"]. 2 more awards for "Magamuni"."

The aforementioned director was also awarded at the festival, winning Jury Award for the Best Feature Film Director.

Prior to the said festival, Mahima won a similar accolade at the International Film Festival Madrid (IIF2021).

On the other hand, the actress is currently busy filming her new movie by M Padmakumar, while her other project "Ayngaran" has recently completed production.


Mahima also won Best Supporting Actress at the International Film Festival Madrid 2021
