21 Sep – Mahima Nambiar has recently won another Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Magamuni". She played Deepa, a feisty journalism student from an upper-caste household. As reported on Times of India, the Tamil actress recently won Special Jury Award: Outstanding Performance - Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Toronto Tamil International Film Festival 2021.
The aforementioned director was also awarded at the festival, winning Jury Award for the Best Feature Film Director. Prior to the said festival, Mahima won a similar accolade at the International Film Festival Madrid (IIF2021). On the other hand, the actress is currently busy filming her new movie by M Padmakumar, while her other project "Ayngaran" has recently completed production.
