18 Feb – Amid reports of a lawsuit filed against him for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, Alec Baldwin is now returning to work via his new action thriller, "97 Minutes".

The upcoming movie, which will co-star Jonathan Rhys Meyers and MyAnna Buring, stars Baldwin as NSA director Hawkins, who prepares to shoot a hijacked 767 that will eventually crash, despite the strong opposition from his deputy.

However, the protagonist of the story is Tyler, one of the alleged hijackers on board who is an undercover Interpol agent.



It is noted that Baldwin announced the news of his return on Twitter, though his said account has been made private.

The actor, who took a short hiatus from work following the tragedy that befallen Hutchins, who died from a gunshot that Baldwin accidentally discharged on the set of Western movie, "Rust", is currently being sued by the cinematographer's family for wrongful death.

Her husband, Matthew Hutchins, filed a complaint on behalf of himself and their 9-year-old son, Andros earlier this week, claiming that Baldwin, along with the other crew members of the movie, "recklessly shot and killed Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie Rust."

His attorney Brian Panish stated, "The Defendants had the power to prevent her death if they only held sacrosanct their duty to protect the safety of every individual on a set where firearms were present instead of cutting corners on safety procedures where human lives were at stake, rushing to stay on schedule and ignoring numerous complaints of safety violations."

Baldwin's lawyer and other producers responded to the lawsuit by saying that any claim that Alec was reckless is entirely false.
