18 Dec - It looks like part two of the successful musical "Wicked" will no longer be known as just "Wicked: Part 2".

On 16 December, Universal Pictures announced that the film, which will be released in theatres in November 2025, is now titled, "Wicked: For Good".


"You will be changed. Wicked: For Good, only in theaters November 21, 2025," the movie announced on its social media account.

Fans have been clamouring for part two to be released much earlier following the success of the first part, which has already made USD 520 million at the global box office.

The movie is based on the hit Broadway show, that is also loosely based on author Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West".

"Wicked" revolves around the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda prior to the former being known to the residents of Oz as the Wicked Witch. The film stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in the lead.
