3 Mar - Harrison Ford is not presenting an Oscar at the ongoing 2025 Academy Awards due to health reasons.

The actor's rep had informed The Academy on 1 March, after the actor received the diagnosis that he has shingles.

It is noted that the "Captain America: Brave New World" star is doing well and is resting following the diagnosis.


Shingles, also known as herpes zoster, is a viral disease characterised by a painful skin rash with blisters in a localised area.

Ford was previously announced as one of the presenters alongside big names such as Robert Downey Jr, Emma Stone, Oprah Winfrey, Selena Gomez, Ana de Armas, Willem Dafoe and Cillian Murphy.

The Oscars is currently taking place on 2 March at 7pm or on 3 March on this side of the world.
