25 Feb - Kamal Haasan loves the idea of starting an acting school, but not the one that people are used to. In a recent interactive session at the FICCI Media & Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC) South in Chennai, the Indian thespian was asked about opening such an academy in the future, to which he said, "I cannot interfere with the growth of a future actor because I will be teaching him the acting of my time." "It will be useful for him only like how my predecessors' acting has been useful to me. I can't exactly copy that acting and bring it forth to an audience who doesn't know who I learned it from," he said.
Thus, Kamal said, he would rather be sitting with the students and learning under the pretext of teaching.
Meanwhile, when asked about his upcoming new movie with Mani Ratnam, "The Thug Life", Kamal said that he can't share without getting the filmmaker's approval. "What would I tell him if he asked, 'I am working hard on editing the film and you revealed the whole story there?'" "Thug Life", which co-stars Trisha Krishnan, will be released in June.
