3 Apr - After much speculations and unofficial revelation about the casting, Sony finally confirmed the four stars who will play the members of the legendary British band, the Beatles in their upcoming series of biopics.


Director Sam Mendes made the announcement on stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on 1 April by introducing all four actors on stage: Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

It is noted that Mescal's involvement was first leaked unwittingly by his "Gladiator II" director Ridley Scott in an interview, while Keoghan's participation was shared by Ringo Starr himself during a different interview.

All four films, which will focus on different members of the group per film, will be released in April 2028.

Calling it the first "binge-able theatrical experience", Mendez said, "Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply."
