29 Jul – After much delay, it was revealed that Kamal Haasan is set to begin the production of the highly-anticipated movie, "Indian 2".

As reported on Times of India, the Tamil superstar reportedly has flown to the US for three weeks for the pre-production process.



The said movie, said to be a vigilante action thriller, will then go on floors in September, to be directed by Shankar.

It is noted that the movie, which is a sequel to Kamal Haasan's 1996 cult classic, was originally announced back in 2017 for a 2019 shoot, but it was delayed due to an accident on the movie sets.

The movie reportedly will co-star Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, and Siddharth.

Kamal was last seen in "Vikram", which became the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year and fourth highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.
