17 Mar - Another day, another remake... as it was reported that Sony is now planning on bringing back the 1992 thriller, "Single White Female" in this new age.

It was reported that Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell are now in talks to star in the movie about a woman whose new roommate begins to become obsessed in her and her life.


Starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh, the film received mixed reviews when it was first released, but quickly became a cult hit, with the word "single white female", which refers to the description in the ad that the protagonist used to find a new roommate, became a popular word to describe stalker-like behaviour.

Sony has made no comment regarding the project.

Ortega has received rave reviews for her portrayal of the iconic character Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton's Netflix series "Wednesday," which became one of the platform's most-watched shows of all time. Her spooky dance moves blew up online and her deadpan attitude had fans obsessed.

Russell, who starred alongside Timothee Chalamet in "Bones and All," will be seen next in Na Hong-jin's "Hope".
