Watch this if you liked: The “Night at the Museum” film series

The Good, the Bad and the Artefacts:

• The film might not be a massive tear-jerker but there are melancholic moments, for example when Robin Williams's character Theodore Roosevelt slowly turns back to a wax figure as the magic runs out of him.

• The story gets a little muddled when it is not focused on the comedy arc of it, especially when the family plotline (nagging father, rebellious son) gets thrown in.

• The acting in the movie brings laughter, just as intended. For example, Rebel Wilson as British museum guard, Tilly, and Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart.

• It is a nice farewell to its two late actors, Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney.

Trivia:

• Before the sudden death of Robin Williams, there was a spinoff planned for the characters Jedediah and Octavius.
