When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realise she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana`s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms. Shocked yet thrilled by Grey`s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. The Good, the Bad and the Shades of Grey

• Just like the book, the film is like soft-core porn with a weak plot and direction. However despite all the hype, the movie is still considered sexually mellow compared to the book.

• The dialogues between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele are corny, weird and stiff. The acting from the two main leads is awkward and wooden and some wonder if the chemistry between the two is strong enough. The exchanges between the two remind us of another 'power couple', Bella and Edward Cullen.

• The film does not portray BDSM that much, but when it does it's done in a way that's subtle and as if it's an evil act done by the BDSM community.

• Christian Grey actor Jamie Dornan had visited a private sex dungeon for research on his character in the film.
