Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukherji) is an intelligent senior inspector working in a Mumbai Crime Branch unit. She is proficient and skillful at picking up hidden clues and is also fearless in handling hardened criminals. However, Shivani stumbles upon a case that changes her life forever. A teenage girl who is an acquaintance to Shivani is kidnapped by the child trafficking mafia and was smuggled outside the city. Thus, Shivani goes on a hunt to get the girl back. What follows afterwards is a game of cat and mouse between a fearless inspector and a ruthless mafia boss.
